So I got the item out of the box plugged it in the wall used it no problem. Then when I had to take the plug out of the bottom to put the warmer in freezer to clean out wax..well the plug wouldn't go back in the warmer and stay in place..Also I noticed a sharp spot behind the butterfly..A person could cut there finger on it.
I loved the design of the item and the ease of use.
I don't like the sharp spot which could lead to a cut finger.(why does a cut finger matter? Some people can bleed to death from a single cut.)
The plug won't stay in place which could lead to the warmer falling and someone getting burned from the hot wax.
I have contacted better homes and gardens about the problems with my item.Im waiting to hear back from them.I contacted them by twitter and If I don't get a response I will email them.
I did show this item brand new in box in a video here is that video.
Update 11/21/2014
I ended up having to email them. All I got told is that they can't tell much from my pictures..(I sent the same ones that I posted below.)I also got told to just return the item to where it was bought and ask for a replacement.(im wondering if the one I got is a return the store put back on shelf)I sent a reply back saying the item was a gift and I have no receipt and that my main concerns where the sharp spot and the plug not staying in place..(Ive got no reply and it's been a week.I figure they are ignoring me or my issues don't matter. If someone gets hurt because of this I will be making sure im heard.)
UPDATE 11/24/2014
I received a email about a replacement..Im not sure the email is real. The reason I say this is because they want me to pick a warmer and 6 wax cubes from a non-better homes and gardens website..Im not sure if it's the manufacturer website or what..Im waiting to hear from better homes and gardens to make sure the email is real.
Update 11/29/2014
Email was real.It was from someone better homes and gardens contacted.I got the replacement(a non-better homes and garden brand) but it's also defective. The paint has cracks all in it.There is even a gap where the cord meets the warmer..Im not sure if this a electric shock hazard or fire hazard..Ive re contacted them and waiting to hear back.Im so disappointed this is my 2nd defective warmer.
Update 12/2/2014
I got a reply saying the paint on my replacement is supposed to be cracked. This is odd to me cracked paint is more likely to come off..which the paint is doing..Since im no happy there going to send me another warmer..I hope the upcoming one will be my last..
Video sowing the cracked paint warmer is here you can see the paint coming off on the orange bag I laid the warmer on to prevent it from getting on everything.
FINAL UPDATE 12/30/2014
